The missing pieces my small business needed
For a long time, I was showing up, learning new skills, trying new ideas, and putting so much pressure on myself to get everything right. But something was still missing from my small business but I couldn’t figure it out. I just knew I felt confused, lost, and caught in this constant cycle of analysis paralysis.
This is the story of how I found the missing pieces in my brand, and honestly, how I found myself in the process…
Where My Story Actually Began
When I look back I realized I’ve always had a knack for entrepreneurship. As a kid, I didn’t just want to be a doctor, I wanted to own my own medical practice. I wanted to help people, provide solutions, and do something I love. That idea stayed with me into adulthood, even when my dreams and interests changed a bit.
Being Multi-Passionate Was a Blessing… and a Challenge
As I got older, I tried so many things, fashion design, stationary, lip gloss, and a host of other business ideas. I genuinely thought I would stick with them, but because I’m naturally multi-passionate, I just felt like I was all over the place.
And when you feel scattered brain, everything feels overwhelming and overstimulating. I knew I had potential, I knew I had decent ideas, but I just didn’t know how to bring them all together.
The Moment Everything Shifted
I didn’t expect branding to feel like personal development… but it did. It forced me to slow down, take a step back, look inside myself, and figure out a better way. A new approach.
Branding helped me mesh all my passions together instead of feeling like I had to choose. It fixed the confusion I was holding onto for years and gave me a sense of purpose I didn’t even know I had.
And because I finally understood myself and my purpose, I could finally understand my brand and business and how it needed to work.
Branding was the Missing Piece
Branding didn’t just give me direction, It gave me purpose, confidence, and intention.
It helped me get off the hamster wheel, get unstuck, And it helped me build a business that I love, that finally feels like mine.
Now everything I create, from my home décor pieces to my YouTube videos, comes from a more aligned and intentional place. A place of self-awareness, creativity, and self-expression.
TLDR
If you’ve ever felt lost in your business or unsure about your next steps, I hope my story reminds you that clarity is possible. Sometimes the thing you’re missing isn’t another strategy… it’s understanding yourself on a much deeper level mentally, physically, and emotionally.
At the end of the full video below, I share five journal prompts that helped me gain the brand clarity I have now. I truly hope they help you too.
And if anything in this post resonated with you, feel free to leave a comment, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
